DriveSafe Lenses

Over 2 thirds of adult drivers reported stress and difficulty when driving in poor weather and low-light conditions. The 3 most challenging conditions highlighted by surveyed drivers were:

  • Issues with depth perception in low-light conditions
  • Issues with glare from oncoming headlights and streetlights
  • Issues with refocusing between the road, dashboard, and mirrors

ZEISS took these concerns and created an all-day lens with Luminance Design® technology, DuraVision® DriveSafe coating, and ZEISS DriveSafe Individual design to address the most stressful situations drivers experience. The result is ZEISS DriveSafe all-day lenses, a unique solution for our patients who need lenses fine-tuned for driving.

DriveSafe lenses offer complete UV protection and clarity of vision for day-to-day tasks and come in single vision and progressive options.

  • More comfortable vision and reduced stress while driving.
  • Better depth perception in low light.
  • Reduced glare specific to driving conditions.
  • Improved fast focus between road, dashboard, and mirrors.
  • Comfortable for all-day use in virtually any choice of frame.

DuraVision BlueProtect Lenses

Many of us spend quite a few hours in front of a computer screen, TV, smartphone, or tablet. In fact, Canadians self reported spending nearly 11 hours a day on a digital device. These screens emit blue light, and when exposed to it for long periods of time, this light can disrupt our circadian rhythms and cause digital eye strain.

The largest source of blue light is the sun, and exposure to this light can pose several health risks to our eyes. We can protect our eyes with UV filtering sunglasses, but what can we do indoors? Enter ZEISS DuraVision BlueProtect lenses!

DuraVision BlueProtect lenses protect your eyes from harmful blue-violet in the range of 390 to 440 nm without reducing the benefits of blue light in the range from 450 to 500 nm. These lenses are ideal for indoor use and help reduce eye fatigue and irritating symptoms that come from extended device use.

  • Protection against harmful blue-violet light.
  • Superior anti-reflective properties compared to conventional AR.
  • Durability against daily wear-and-tear.
  • Extremely easy to clean and keep clean.
  • Performance lasts the life of the prescription.

DuraVision Platinum UV Lenses

ZEISS DuraVision Platinum UV lenses are ready to meet the challenges of everyday life. These lenses are robust, durable, dirt-resistant, easy to clean, and come with advanced, first-rate anti-reflective properties.

DuraVision Platinum UV lenses are made with an integrated system of coating layers densely packed into a lens surface that is 3 times stronger than the previous generation of hard anti-reflective ZEISS lenses. They’re also a more cosmetically attractive reflection blue residual reflection colour that’s 20% less luminous than a conventional green AR coated lens.

  • Better anti-reflective properties than conventional AR.
  • Tough enough to withstand every day wear-and-tear.
  • Extremely easy to clean and keep clean.
  • Anti-static barrier reduces the frequency of cleaning.
  • Performance lasts for the life of the prescription.

Myopia Management Lens Solutions

Myopia is a common refractive error that usually develops between the ages 6 to 12. Because children rely so heavily on their eyesight to grow, learn, and explore, if their visual system isn’t performing optimally, they could struggle to keep up with their peers.

To better support our littlest patients with myopia, ZEISS has developed one of the most comprehensive myopia management spectacle lens portfolios available. ZEISS’s myopia management lenses are created to slow the progression of myopia and are specially designed for children’s eyes.

Speak to your optometrist today for the available myopia control methods offered by ZEISS.

  • Encourage outdoor activities: Studies show that children who are active outdoors have a lower risk and lower progression of myopia.
  • Remember UV protection: Don’t forget to protect your child’s eyes from UV light during outdoor activities, also with clear lenses.
  • Keep digital devices at a distance: Proper device distances and upright body posture are good for the back and children’s eyes.
  • Ensure your child takes breaks: During near visual tasks, such as reading and computing, it is important to take a two-minute break every 30 minutes.
  • Provide healthy food: Nutrients influence the proper development of the visual system.
  • Let them get enough sleep: Sleep is important for the restoration of body and neural energy. Too little sleep can lead to excessive fatigue and stress.
  • Turn on the light: Good lighting is essential for all activities, from reading and learning to playing. Natural light is especially recommended.

PhotoFusion Lenses

Say goodbye to switching between glasses and sunglasses with ZEISS PhotoFusion glasses! These lenses are as active and flexible as you, quickly adapting to changing light faster than ever.

  • Colour consistency: ZEISS PhotoFusion lenses demonstrate excellent color consistency—for natural sight.
  • UV protection: ZEISS PhotoFusion lenses provide full UV protection when exposed to UV.
  • Blue light protection: ZEISS PhotoFusion lenses block at least 20% (31% for Extra Grey) of blue light indoors and close to 90% outdoors.

UVProtect

UV light is all around us. Although we can’t see it, it’s there on both sunny and cloudy days, and in the summer and winter. Most of us know to protect our skin from the sun, but did you know that the sun is just as harmful to your eyes? Excessive sun exposure over a lifetime can increase our chances of eye cancer, cataracts, and premature aging around the eyes.

Sunglasses offer excellent protection from the sun, but only 1 in 4 adults report wearing them when outside! ZEISS stepped up to the challenge of providing UV protection to glasses wearers no matter what. All clear ZEISS lenses come equipped with sunglass-level UV protection! With ZEISS, all lens wearers of all ages can effortlessly protect their eyes from all harmful UV rays.

  • UV rays up to 400 nm are blocked by the lens.
  • Full UV protection of the eyes and surrounding skin.
  • ZEISS clear eyeglasses now offer the same UV protection as premium sunglasses.
