Protect Your Eyes With Quality Safety Eyewear

Your eyesight is one of your most precious gifts, and you can’t afford to take chances with it. Protective goggles or safety glasses help protect your eyes from injury in order to ensure that you enjoy a lifetime of clear, strong vision.

Eye injuries are common at home and in the workplace, and wearing the correct safety eyewear may save your eyesight. Research suggests that close to 90% of eye injuries could be prevented with the right safety goggles or eyewear.

Fortunately, we carry a large selection of protective eyewear at all 3 of our Eye Care Centres. Let us help you choose the right pair for your lifestyle.

As part of our efforts to keep your eyes safe, we are part of the Eyesafe workplace eye safety program. Our job is to promote the use of safety glasses and eye accessories on the job.

The ultimate goal of Eyesafe is to improve the health of the eyes, not just to protect them. The Alberta Association of Optometrists wants to keep your eyes safe from a broad range of eye problems and injuries.

Frames and lenses are rated differently depending on their ability to withstand impact. You should always consult a professional when selecting safety glasses to make sure you are purchasing an appropriate product for your needs. Lenses may be made of different materials for specific applications.

Required safety eyewear for work may be different than safety eyewear used for home projects or sports. You may need a separate pair of glasses for each activity. The many different types of safety eyewear allow you to choose products that match your personality and lifestyle.
